The 15,000th PONSSE delivered to Lespromindustria

Today, the 15,000th PONSSE forest machine was completed at Ponsse’s factory in Vieremä and delivered to Lespromindustria from Russia. The machine delivery also represented a step towards Ponsse’s 50th anniversary to be celebrated next year. Fifty years of logging will be celebrated by a global roadshow together with Ponsse’s customers and other forest industry professionals.


Ponsse once again first in reputation survey

For the second year in succession, Ponsse is the most reputable company in Finland. In this year’s survey, Ponsse was the only company that received an excellent total score. Ponsse was followed by lift and escalator manufacturer Kone and game developer Supercell.

New managing director for Ponsse AS

The managing director of Ponsse AS, Ponsse’s subsidiary in Norway, is to change. Sigurd Skotte, who has held the position since 2011, will transfer to parent company Ponsse Plc starting from 1 October 2019, where he will work in the development of global sales. Carl-Henrik Hammar, managing director of Ponsse’s subsidiary in Sweden, will be appointed managing director of Ponsse AS. Hammar will also continue as the managing director of Ponsse AB.

Ponsse’s products and services that improve productivity and profitability in logging have a strong presence at the The Great Lakes Logging & Heavy Equipment Logging Congress September 5-7 Escanaba, MI. The new PONSSE Cobra harvester was introduced at the fair as well as new PONSSE Active Crane system for loader controlling.


Ponsse opened a new training centre in St. Petersburg

The grand opening of the new training and service centre of OOO Ponsse, Ponsse’s subsidiary in Russia, was celebrated last week in Gorelovo, St. Petersburg. With its area of 1,500 square metres, the new training centre is one of the company’s largest investments in Russia, totalling approximately EUR 3 million.

– Net sales amounted to EUR 315.8 (H1/2018 291.1) million. – Q2 net sales amounted to EUR 172.7 (Q2/2018 149.0) million. – Operating result totalled EUR 30.4 (H1/2018 29.5) million, equalling 9.6 (10.1) per cent of net sales. – Q2 operating result totalled EUR 17.5 (Q2/2018 12.4) million, equalling 10.2 (8.3) per cent of net sales. – Profit before taxes was EUR 30.1 (H1/2018 25.5) million. – Cash flow from business operations was EUR 2.7 (20.1) million. – Earnings per share were EUR 0.83 (0.68). – Equity ratio was 51.3 (51.1) per cent. – Order books stood at EUR 361.1 (187.0) million.

Facundo Leal from Uruguay is the winner of the International Championship Competition for PONSSE mechanics

The international competition for PONSSE mechanics ended last night in Iisalmi, Finland. This year´s winner was Facundo Leal from Ponsse Uruguay service team. This year mechanics from 13 different countries from all over the Ponsse network took part in the challenge.


Ponsse opens a new service centre in Sandviken Sweden

Ponsse will have its sixth service centre in Sweden on 17 May when a new service centre opens its doors in Sandviken.
